On the 11th of June, I and Sam will be doing an 81mile bike ride from Brighton to London for charity. KEEN London is the charity we’re supporting, they provide opportunities for young people with special needs and their siblings.
We have a few months to get ourselves fit and ready for the bike ride. We’ve taken up spinning classes to get our bodies used to the physical demand of the ride.
After a couple of classes, I can feel the effects, my thighs ache – when doing the hill climbs. I’m hoping there won’t be too many hills climb on the route. Unlike myself, Sam is actually coasting in the spinning classes but then again she has done more classes than I have. I have started playing 5 a-side football again after a few months away from it.
During the bank holiday weekend, we will be doing a lot of bike rides – as the sun is out we’re hoping it should be fun.

I’ll be blogging our training progress in the run-up to the event, lets see how this goes eh?!
